This story is amusing but there is a surprising amount of hidden/disguised bad language (swearing). The author has changed the words (such as zark for the f-word) but the meaning is very clear and it is constant throughout the book. These swear words are used by nearly every character in almost every chapter.

This is one of those versatile books that either can be lighter or deeper. The light read is a kid and robot struggling to fit in. The deeper side explores the idea of standardized testing and robotic intelligence for selfish purposes. I think it would appeal to reluctant readers in middle school boys or girls. This author lives Virginia.
