This is one of Baldacci's earlier works, published in 1997, and I found it to be as good as any of his books I have read thus far. A very ingenious story about how the bad guy 'fixes" a national lottery, and how it affects the lives of the heroine and her friends. You will loathe the "bad guy" in this book, and hope justice finally prevails....a very good book.
